Junior Rockhound Meetings are scheduled the 3rd Saturday of each month at 4:30 pm  at the Gem Museum, 25 Phillips St, Franklin.  All juniors must join the Gem Society - $5.00 annual dues.  Contact group leader Dr Susan Ray for info or questions at drsusanray@gmail.com  

Juniors are doing projects to earn 22 different badges offered by the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies.  (go to: https://www.cfmsinc.org  for information about the Junior Rockhound badge program).  The juniors just completed constructing a portable blacklight display for fluorescent minerals as part of their badge requirements for Fluorescent  Minerals.
